Day 01: Arrival in Makassar – Scenic Drive to Toraja (L, D)
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. Begin your journey to Toraja, traveling through the scenic countryside for approximately 8–9 hours. Along the way, pass traditional Buginese villages with their distinctive stilt houses. We’ll pause for photo opportunities and enjoy a seafood lunch in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, stop at Puncak Lakawan for panoramic views of the highlands. Arrive in Rantepao, the cultural heart of Toraja, by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Exploring Tana Toraja – Lemo, Nongnongan, Londa, Karuaya, Kete Kesu (B, L, D)
After breakfast, begin a full-day cultural exploration of Tana Toraja. First, visit Lemo, famous for its cliffside tombs and Tau Tau effigies. Continue to Nongnongan to learn about the unique tradition of placing infants in tree graves. Next, explore the ancient burial caves of Londa, where the deceased are laid to rest in rock chambers. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Rantepao, then head to Karuaya for stunning views of the Torajan landscape. A short walk leads to Kete Kesu, one of the oldest traditional villages in the region, known for its original Tongkonan ancestral houses and ornately carved rice barns. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Highlands and Village Life – Batutumonga, Trekking & Weaving Centers (B, L, D)
After breakfast, depart for Timonbayo, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of megalithic stones set amidst lush rice fields. Visit the Lokomata burial site, then continue to Batutumonga for a light trekking experience through peaceful landscapes and local villages. This area offers a deeper glimpse into Torajan daily life. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Batutumonga. In the afternoon, visit the stone monuments of Bori, followed by a stop at Pallawa and Sa’dan Tubaranna, villages known for their traditional weaving. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Toraja – Return to Makassar (B, L, D)
After breakfast and check-out, begin the return journey to Makassar. En route, stop again at Puncak Lakawan for a coffee break and a final look at the picturesque Toraja highlands. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Upon arrival in Makassar, check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Makassar.

Day 05: Makassar City Tour – Departure (B, L)
After breakfast and check-out, explore Makassar on a city tour. Visit Anjungan Losari Beach, a modern landmark that celebrates the four major ethnic groups of South Sulawesi. Continue to the historic Fort Rotterdam, which also houses the Lagaligo Museum, featuring ethnological and historical exhibits. End the tour with a visit to Paotere Harbor, home to the iconic traditional Phinisi schooners. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
