Overview

Day 01: Arrival in Makassar – Journey to Toraja (L, D)
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, you will be met by our representative and begin your scenic drive to Toraja, a journey of approximately 8–9 hours. Travel through the countryside and pass by traditional Buginese villages with their iconic stilt houses. Along the way, stop for photos and enjoy lunch at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, take in breathtaking views from Puncak Lakawan before arriving in Rantepao, the heart of the Toraja region, in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 02: Cultural Exploration – Lemo, Nongnongan, Londa, Karuaya, Kete Kesu (B, L, D)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Tana Toraja, starting with a visit to Lemo, known for its impressive cliffside graves and Tau Tau effigies. Continue to Nongnongan to learn about the tradition of burying babies in living trees. Proceed to Londa, where ancient rock tombs house the remains of the deceased. After lunch at a local restaurant in Rantepao, stop at Karuaya for panoramic views, then walk to Kete Kesu, one of Toraja's oldest and best-preserved villages. Admire the traditional Tongkonan houses and intricately carved rice barns. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Traditional Villages – Weaving Center, Marante, Nanggala (B, L, D)
Following breakfast, explore more of Toraja’s cultural heritage with a visit to Pallawa and Sa'dan, renowned as centers for traditional handwoven textiles. Continue to Marante and Nanggala, two villages famous for their grand Tongkonan houses and rows of traditional rice barns. After lunch in Rantepao, return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Highland Views and Trekking – Batutumonga & Bori (B, L, D)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Batutumonga, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views over Rantepao and the surrounding valleys. Take a relaxing walk through the rice fields and villages, experiencing the daily life of the Torajan people. After lunch in Batutumonga, visit Bori, a remarkable megalithic site rich in history and cultural significance. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Toraja – Return to Makassar – Departure (B, L)
After breakfast and check-out, begin the return drive to Makassar. Stop in Pare-Pare for lunch at a local restaurant, then continue directly to Hasanuddin Airport for your flight to the next destination.
